August is almost over. Somehow the month has flown by, and before it completely disappears, I finally got my first fanlisting up this year opened.

1. Final Fantasy summons - Game Characters
   A new little fanlisting has arrived on the web. Cataclysm on Command is a fanlisting for the summons across the Final Fantasy series from the classics like Bahamut, Shiva, and Ifrit to the ones you might have a soft spot for all on your own. If you love any summon from Final Fantasy, come join the list!

That wraps things up for this month. There are other life priorities taking up some of my time lately, so things around the network might be a little quieter while I work on getting everything balanced. It’s August, and I’m excited to finally share a new clique I’ve been working on for the past few weeks! Senshi Regalia, inspired by one of my favorite magical girl series, Sailor Moon. Whether you have a favorite henshin or an attack item you’ve always loved, come and join the clique. It’s been a fun project to put together, and I’m really happy to finally have it up and running!

Aelyn and I have also been talking about some of the rules that have been getting overlooked lately, and how we could make them easier to catch before applying. We felt the rules were starting to get a little too long and detailed, since the more there is to read, the easier it is for important information to get buried or skipped over. So, we decided to condense them a bit! We’re especially hoping this helps with the requirement to add the code before or immediately after submitting a join request form, which has been missed by a number of applicants. The important information is still there, just in a shorter and hopefully easier-to-follow format!

I want to apologize for the long absence and admit that I've been a bit slack on posting updates lately. I've definitely been around only processing fanlistings and cliques, and adding in more cliques into Aquarel's directory on a daily basis. But I'll be honest, there hasn't been much to update since there haven't been any new releases or works to feature. That said, I do have a few updates to share!

The "I Choose You" Pokémon clique has been updated: you can now select an additional favorite field, allowing you to choose a Pokéball alongside your favorite Pokémon. To ensure everyone has a Poké Ball assigned, members who joined prior to this update were randomly assigned one. If you'd like to customize yours, please fill out the update form.

Happy 2026 everyone! I wanted to post a quick update about the new domain, Aquarel.nu! For this one, I pretty much gave Aelyn full freedom to run with her vision for Aquarel's layout and overall theme. I'm currently busy juggling another project, so I couldn't contribute as much as I normally would, but honestly, I really love how everything turned out! It was nice stepping back and letting her ideas shape the site.

I also really like the idea of having Aquarel as a single domain. It means Aelyn won't have to deal with fixing the same scripts in two different places anymore, which can get super tedious fast. Everything feels a lot more organized and less stressful now, and it just makes maintaining our cliques so much easier. Aquarel.nu already feels like a good move, and I'm excited to see where we take it from here!

Happy belated holidays, everyone! This month has been especially busy, as the holidays are a time we dedicate to family and loved ones. Still, I wanted to make sure my final piece for the Strong Women update gets a moment to shine before the year comes to a close.

   The title Beautiful Disaster pairs especially well with the relationship between Nana Oosaki and Nana Komatsu because their bond is both deeply life-giving and quietly devastating. Their friendship is not destructive in an obvious, explosive way, but in the slow, emotional sense where love, dependency, longing, and misunderstanding intertwine so tightly that it becomes impossible to separate what heals from what hurts.

As we wrap up 2025, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your continued support throughout the year. Your engagement has helped make this year a meaningful and successful one. We're also excited about what's ahead. Network updates, ideas and improvements are already in progress, and more details will be shared as we move into next year.
