Journey to Paradise

Happy December, everyone! I decided to take a break from big projects over the Thanksgiving weekend, but rest assured, they'll be rolling out slowly throughout this month. In the meantime, I've finished another fanlisting for you all:
  1. Wolf's Rain
The series is a visual masterpiece, with flawless direction and an outstanding English dub. The writing is exceptional, and I can't overstate how incredible the soundtrack by Yoko Kanno is. I've been playing the tracks on repeat. I was in high school when I first watched it, and I would actually set my alarm to catch it on Adult Swim because I couldn't bear to miss an episode. I've never been so emotionally moved by an anime or TV show. Though it's deeply dark and often heartbreaking, it's also profoundly beautiful. We rarely see shows of that caliber anymore.
Twitter, or X as it's now called, has essentially become irrelevant to me. As a result, there will be no further updates posted there. We're returning to a more traditional approach to sharing updates, free from the noise of social media. After much planning, Aelyn and I have begun migrating several projects to new domains last month, creating a more centralized hub for improved productivity and better script management. However, due to ongoing DNS issues with the new domain, our cliques are currently in a holding pattern on a temporary domain. These issues are expected to be resolved, and we plan to finalize everything sometime soon!

Crimson Veil

I discovered just a week ago that my contact form had suddenly stopped working, so I sincerely apologize to anyone who tried reaching me through it over the past few months. Google updated their CAPTCHA, and I completely overlooked the notification in my emails. I asked Aelyn for help in getting a functional form set up; hopefully this one will last much longer. The blog script I am using has also been updated to its newest version, which includes several fixes. Now I can finally run multiple categories, which makes me very happy. Thank you Aelyn for always working so hard to keep all our scripts up to date!

A new fanlisting is now online for the Strong Women updates month!
  1. Resident Evil: Ada Wong - Game Characters
The design process itself took longer than expected. I spent quite a bit of time rummaging through my image folders, trying to find something that would inspire me. Then I came across a few nicely rendered versions of Ada and thought, "Why not? It could work." I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to do with it at first, but after extracting the image and staring at it for a while, I finally started to get the direction. From not knowing what I was going to do to this end result, I have to say, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out in the end! It was one of those moments when something just clicks, even if it took a bit of back-and-forth to get there.
Wishing everyone to have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving week. I am excited to share more updates soon!

Small Tweaks, Big Improvements

Can you believe how quickly time flies? December is almost here, and before we know it, it’ll be 2026.

This month has been all about big changes behind the scenes, especially on our fanlistings. We’ve been making some significant edits, and the spotlight is on Aelyn’s recent update to the Listing Admin script via Enamour, so these adjustments are all part of the effort to bring the script to the next level. In short, here’s a rundown of the updates and improvements:
  1. Every fanlisting subject now shows the number of fans listed per country when you check out the country section on the fan list. A small but cool addition that gives a better sense of the global fanbase!
  2. The total number of countries is now visible on each subject’s index page, plus it’s included in Enamour’s owned section where all fanlistings are showcased. It’s a nice touch that adds more clarity to how widespread each fanlisting really is.
  3. Fan counts across all pages are now correctly displayed, even when there are over 100 fans from a single country. This is especially important for the bigger fan communities, where the fan count can get pretty hefty.
I’m currently helping Aelyn with the front-end templates to implement these changes. To be honest, I’m still not quite versed in working with the deeper, internal script updates she’s been tweaking and perfecting for years. It’s a bit out of my wheelhouse, but I’m happy to assist where I can!
